Khoya Khoya Chand.......

Nope! i am not here to praise the movie... nor to even critisize.... Just that, this movie made me to research sth.. They showed 60s era.. My first reaxn was.. was glamour world really so unhappy at that time.. answer i got..yep can be.. one can see the stories of Wahida rehman, meena kumari , praveen bobi.. just few of the names which were at top during that time but had very unhappy ending.. So then this story was about whom.. well to my surprise it was very simialr to that of 'Madhubala' .. i never knew that there was so much pain hidden in that beautiful face with most wonderful smile..

Madhubala ..started as a child actor in film industry.. she struggled a lot to reach at the top position.. She fall in love with actor Dilip kumar.. The love story went on for almost six years but not for long. Soon their relationship turned sour and even lead to a scandalous court case. It so happened that during film Naya Daur in which Madhubala and Dilip Kumar were to star in, Madhubala’s father objected for out door shooting and even claimed that the entire Bhopal schedule was an excuse to give Dilip Kumar the opportunity to romance his daughter. Finally, director sued Madhubala for the cash advance she received from him for a film she now had no intention of completing. He also replaced her with South Indian actress Vyjayanthimala . Madhubala obediently supported her father despite her commitment to Dilip Kumar . Kumar testified against Madhubala and Ataullah Khan in favor of the director B.R. Chopra in open court. The case was lost by Madhubala and her father amid much negative publicity. Up until that point Madhubala had worked hard to gain a reputation as a reliable and professional performer with much goodwill in the industry. Her image was badly damaged after this episode. Madhubala and Dilip Kumar were effectively separated from that point on.

She was diagnosed with a heart disease in 1950, before heart surgery was available, yet she concealed it from the film industry and continued working hard, at times coughing blood on set knowing she had a large poor family to support. Many of her friends later recount that she was never the same after her relationship with Dilip ended and many say she suffered from a lifelong depression.

Kishore Kumar took care of Madhubala during her last days. She wanted to be married before dying.. so Kishore kumar even changed his religion n married her.. but Kishore's family never accepted her..She died with a hole in her heart in 1969 after being bedridden for 9 years, and was buried by her family and husband Kishore Kumar. It is said that even during her last days..she just wished to see Dilip Kumar...

Even in this film..they have almost shown same ..but how ever the film lacked strong editing...
Some how narration was not very strong and went on coming and going.. making this film little untolerable..
